About Me

It is probably the hardest part to fill in. In one sentence I would describe myself as an academic with an artistic eye.
I'm studying physics and would love to become one of this great scientists one day. I find it fascinating to describe and understand the very fundamentals of the world. My artistic eye is mainly because I've finished secondary music school and was even studying at the music academy for a while, but finally decided that it is physics what I'd like to do in my life. Due to the fact that history of my musical education is rather complicated I can play violin, piano and French horn. Besides that, I love backpacking, travelling around the world, but also staying at home with a book and my headphones on.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've started during my journey to Norway and found it a great way to meet other people, make friends and visit some remote places. In Couchsurfing I love the fact that it is all about people's kindness and trust. I think that nowadays we trust each other too little and we are closed for each other, but Couchsurfing convinces me that it is just an illusion.

Music, Movies, and Books

Too many to list them all, for sure!
I'm listening to almost all kinds of music, but if I have to choose one it will be jazz - Dave Brubeck, Dave Holland, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Glenn Miller, Leszek Możdżer. From rock bands Deep Purple is probably my favourite. Classical musics is also often in my headphones - J.S. Bach, G. Mahler, I. Stravinsky and many more. Recently I've discovered the world of electronic music from the past and found Kraftverk really interesting.
To be honest I haven't watched many films. I love Sherlock series; I've seen all Marvell movies (Guardians of the Galaxy with their Amazing soundtrack); and I find old French comedies really amusing.
I am a bookworm. Definitely. Lord of the rings by J.R.R. Tolkien was the first "serious" book I've read and to this day I am a huge fan of Tolkien's works. In the past I was reading a lot of fantasy books. Now it is mostly SF (if you don't know Lem you should probably change it) and classical literature (Dostoyewsky, Mann, Mrożek, Hesse). Popular science books also take a lot of place in my bookcase.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Parachuting. And it was amazing!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I've never tried that, but I can learn you some Polish :)
Because of my studies I am quite good in maths and physics so if only you need some help just ask.
I like cooking, especially with a company, so why not to organise some international kitchen party? :D
