Hi, I am Adèle.

I've been living in Brussels for 3 years, and I intend to stay there a bit longer. I grew up in the countryside and I moved to city life for my study. Even if I miss the nature, I deeply enjoy my time in Brussels and I do not get tired of urban life. Always looking for a nice place to discover : exhibition, concert, bars, café, festivals, ... and good cause to invest my time in. Brussels is changing through seasons for culture life and through actuality for the most important world's concern. The city is in the heart of the current rebellion movement for climate justice, revision of our economical capitalist system and against racism through Europe and beyond and I am happy to be a part of it.

I study medecine, I am supposed to be graduate in june 2020. After that, I intend to become a pediatrician and work in humanitarian association like MSF.

In august 2018, I had a bike accident (nothing bad, I am ok) which forced me to take a "one-year-break". Since then, I take the time to the understand better the world I live in, to plan my future and decide how I want to take part in the fight for a better futur. I realized all the things I ignore about history and actuality. I believe that learning about history will help me to understand the world I live in. That is why I try to match my travel destination with a part of the human history. With this main motivation and beside my internships in hospitals, I have been traveling in Rwanda, Berlin, Normandy and Cambodia in the past year.

I think people make the richest part of the world. We grow up as humanbeings through our relationships, and I never have enough of discovering new people and new culture. I want to discover other's reality, to challenge myself and try something different. That's why I love traveling with CS but also as a volunteer with Workaway, as a biker with Warmshower and with medschool as a student.

Música, películas y libros

Music is always, somehow, somewhere in my life. If it is not in my ear, it is in my mind. I like to sing Disney's and French classics, I like to dance on African, Funk, Swing, Disco and Rock musics but not exclusively. Depending of the moment of the day, the mood and the people I am with, I can listen to many different kinds of musics as far as there is melody and that the lyrics means something (if I understand them).

I am a big fan of animation such as Pixar's and Myazaki's and wildlife documentary . Otherwise I do have preference for movies with historical story or with the demonstration of the psychologies of the characters. Speaking of well-known producer, I love Tim Burton, Steven Spielberg, Tarantino, Angelina Jolie, Xavier Dolan .. I do not have enough time for this but I also like watching series : GOT, Peaky Blinders, the knick, The man in a high castel, ... I do have lacks in Cinema's knowledge but I am always in to watch a classic or discover author's films !

I wish I could read more books and comics. The more I grow up and the more I appreciate it. In the past few month my last readings are: "King-Kong Theory" (V. Despentes) ; "Trois petits pas sur le sable mouillé" (A.D Julian) ; "Un Dimanche à la piscine à Kigali" ; "Petit Pays" (Gaël Faye) ; "Heimat" ; "Chronique de jérusalem" ; "Au revoir Là Haut" (Lemaire) ; "Rwanda 94" ; and "Kampuchea" (P.Deville).

Beside books, musics and movies I really love theater !! I am lucky to live next to most of the theaters in the city (among them the National Theater of Brussels) so I try to go and watch a play as soon as I can.

Growing up surrounded by a loving family who offered me opportunities to make my own choices, to develop my curiosity and to be aware of the world I live in.
