Overview
About Me
I'm currently studying in Ljubljana, which is the capital of a small country called Slovenia. As an exchange student I was quite a few times in Germany (Tübingen and Berlin) where I was not just learning German but also teaching Slovene.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like traveling and meeting new people. Couchsurfing is an ideal way to get to know a city better.
Music, Movies, and Books
I like listening to anything that puts me in a good mood. Be it rock, techno or good old folk music.
As a volunteer at a film festival I've seen some very good movies which makes my pick difficult to describe. But I'd say The White Ribbon (Haneke), There Will Be Blood (Anderson), Lost in Translation (Coppola) and anything from Stanley Kubrick.
Don't ask me about books :) There have been so many since I'm studying Literature. But I'd always recommend to someone The Clown (Böll) and A Tomb for Boris Davidovich (Kiš).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Once I was traveling with some friends with a van in Tunisia. After a week of spending our time at the coast cities in the east we finally drove to a salt lake called Chott el Djerid. Since we came at night I had no idea what is going to be like in the morning. When I got out of the tent I was amazed by the stunning white landscape surrounded by nothing. It was such a wonderful and yet unearthly feeling.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am always ready to have a conversation about languages, books and movies. I could teach you some useful words in my language since I'm also a teacher of Slovene. I like to learn new languages and would love to hear some new words and phrases.
What I Can Share with Hosts
If the ingredients are available I could prepare you a Slovene lunch or dinner.
