About Me

Hello!
I am cristina, I am 22 years old and I live in Barcelona (Spain).
A few months ago I left university, I was studying chemical engineering, because I realized that it is not the career that I really like, it is not the profession that in the future will make me happy and especially it’s not the college career that will allow me to travel as much as I like.

One of my passions is to travel, I love to discover new places, to experience different sensations and, I would love to be able to live with native people to be able to truly experience different cultures.

Another of my passions is the sea whether it be walk the beach in winter or summer, diving or surf with a boat. One of my dreams is to go around the world by boat.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I decided to join couchsurfing because on backpacker travelers' blogs I read very good opinions about this new way of traveling.
I think it's a great way to meet new people, their culture, their history and their country.
I look forward to trying this experience both leaving a sofa in my house and being welcomed!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like dance bachata and salsa
I listen r&b and comercial music

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 18 years old I went to London with my partner and a friend. Initially our idea was to go a few months to work and learn English.
We went there without accommodation and without work. When we got there we found out that we played the group of rolling stones and that it was the tennis tournament of Wimbledon, so all the hostels and hostels were full .
It was ten o'clock at night and we still had no place to sleep, we ended up sleeping in a very troublesome neighborhood, at night. In the hostel there was a strange atmosphere, they looked at us and when we went outside they were followed. We held out until 6 or 5 o'clock in the morning when the first train left for London. Even at the train station we were scared.
This experience changed our way of thinking, we learned that we have to organize a little more trips and that the best option for this type of travel is to carry backpack and not suitcase.
