About Me

Hey there!
If I would identify myself, I would say that a traveller is in the pursuit of discovering herself by being on the roads and understanding the world by finding herself more.
I am originally from Istanbul but more of a world citizen. I have a bachelor's degree in Sociology from Istanbul University, where I spent my final year as an exchange student at Goethe University Frankfurt am Main. I recently received my master's in Sociology from the London School of Economics and am applying for a PhD! ( And yes, I miss you, London :( )
I am a friendly, open-minded person and like meeting new people, new cultures, and getting new experiences from all over the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
For a time ago, I made a decision for my outgoing life; for a while, being alone on the roads, listening to nature's and my soul's voice, seeking to find the meaning of ultimate freedom. Christopher Mccandless's life story has inspired me to walk alone to become "lost in the world." And in this long journey, Couchsurfing is a magic bus I take shelter in, meeting people who have inspiring road stories for me.

Teach, Learn, Share
It would be amazing if I could find an opportunity to practise my German or my Persian with you in exchange for your Turkish. I have worked as a Turkish language teacher with Syrian children, and I would say that I am a good teacher if you look for a language exchange :)
I can cook traditional Turkish foods or make Turkish coffee for you and teach you how to cook. Otherwise, I can share with you my adventures, road stories, and we can talk about the world, cultures, countries, politics, social theory, foods.
