About Me

Hey there! My name is Jara. Currently, I study veterinary medicine hoping to graduate in 2019. At the beginning of 2018, I spent 3 months in the city of Ghent (Belgium) as an Erasmus student. I also decided to make a gap year before my final year to see a bit of the world. Fortunatelly, my beautiful girlfriend (also a future vet) is joining me, so I don´t have to travel just on my own.

Some years ago, I started studying veterinary medicine so I guess its not surprising that I really like animals and nature in total. Since I was a kid, I have been enjoying going out camping or doing any kind of sports. During my middle school, I started to travel around Europe and after that I had some chances to travel further away and I think I started to be a bit addicted...O:) The older I am, the more tempted to travel I get. I prefer nature rather than cities, but with a good company I can enjoy exploring the cities, as well.

I consider myself as an easygoing guy who enjoys exploring the world. I can appreciate a good sense of humor, enjoy meeting new people from all over the world and discovering new cultures and points of view. I prefer minimalism to maximalism and hate wasting of stuffs and time. I believe that life is what you make of it!

And since my girlfriend is travelling with me, here you can check her profile: https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/marketa-halladova

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I really like the concept! Everytime I visit a new place, I try not to be just a tourist but to get to know the local people, local spirit and share the point of view. According to my own experience, I believe it can make your traveling much more intense! It's amazing how man things you can learn with this great community. Its the best option if you want to know about a certain place and culture.

It is also very nice when it comes to getting a hand and a warm shelter with nice people while you are traveling.
