Overview
About Me
I am a teacher of English, and a librarian from Argentina. I enjoy traveling as much as I can, and I have done so quite extensively within South America. I am quite a social person, and I like meeting new people and talking about... mostly everything.
I am quite culturally-inclined (I love reading and writing, going to the theatre -I practice Improv back in Buenos Aires-, visiting museums, etc.), but I also enjoy activities such as cycling, running, swimming, and dancing (I dance a little bachata, and I USED to dance a little tango, though I would be hard pressed to remember even the basic moves of the latter). I am quite a decent cook, and I love sharing some of the dishes I prepare in my country, and tasting new types of food.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am temporarily living in the United States, on a Fulbright scholarship. I am currently both a student and a teacher in Monmouth College, in Monmouth, Illinois, but I want to take advantage of the breaks in the academic calendar to travel around the States.
While this is the first time I am on couchsurfing by myself, I have already used the system with a former girlfriend of mine, both to travel and to accommodate people who went to Buenos Aires. I enjoyed the experience in both cases, and, even though I cannot host right now (as I am living on campus), I would like to continue doing so once I get back home!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: jazz, tango, rock, punk, grunge, classical music, etc.
Movies: I don't watch as many movies as I would like to. If I do so, I usually watch movies of these three categories: movies that I may find interesting, superhero movies with friends (and with pop-corn, lots of it), and animation movies.
Books: I read whatever I can get hold of, and I open to suggestions! I read quite a lot of fiction, and some of my favourite writers in English are Toni Morrison or William Faulkner. In Spanish, I like magical realism, and I like authors from all over Latin America.
As regards non-fiction books, I enjoy reading history and sociology, but I also like many books in connection to several fields of science.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I make marionettes. No one else seems to make them, use them, or care about them, so I cannot do much with that. It happens.
Teach, Learn, Share
These things would depend on the other person as well, and it would be impossible to know them in advance!
As regards sharing, anyhow, I have brought some alfajores (a local pastry from Argentina) to share with people from the States, who I meet in my trip.
What I Can Share with Hosts
