About Me

CURRENT MISSION
Meet new people, have fun together and become infected!

A difficult and humorous story at the same time... How can I write all about myself if I still don't know myself thoroughly? I'll try at least... ;)

I spent my childhood in a small picturesque country village near cologne. Therefore, I grow up with lots of nature experiences behind our lovely restored timbered house near the meadows and the woods. In summer my friends and I loved to spent time together in the nature usually at the lake. There we loved to swim and chill around the bonfire until sunset. At this time I didn't know that these memories will have the most impact of my future... Because of that I would say I become a sociable, humorous and down-to-earth woman with a genuine love for Mother Nature. ...ok, thats enough...time machine, please!

After a few years of working and studying in the Lüneburger Heath in the north of Germany I decided to come back and explore urban living. Now I'm living in Cologne in a small shared flat with a big dream. I would like to throw off the bow lines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in my sails. EXPORE - DREAM - DISCOVER. But unfortunately the time is not ripe.

So If I can't travel to meet people, I can meet people who travel! :)

I love talking to people and hearing about their views, life, and experiences. There is nothing like a good conversation! That's why I ask a lot of questions and want to know more about you. I'm curious about your way of life ;)

PHILOSOPHY
I wouldn't say that I have a personal philosophy it's more kind of collection of beliefs. (I'm actually reading the history of philosophy o.O....)

You can be certain of my respectful openminded attitude, because one big aim of my life is to try to live without prejudices and judge not before I have experienced it. We all need to understand that irrespective of gender, nationality, sex, caste, religion, race, age, money, sexual preferences, we all are human beings, we are all the same generically.

I am friendly, funny and a good listener. I laugh and talk a lot and sorry for that, but my favorite humor is black sarcasm. It's typical for social workers and it's my way to endure the political, social and economic world around us.

During my studies I try to enjoy my life. I love to be in nature, while hiking, swimming or bicycling... I love to be active, but I'm not always the best in sports. I've spent days trying to stay on snowboard. I would say I failed. It was wonderful. The spirit counts. ;)

I always find happiness in small things and I like to end my day with good food, music and also most important Good people.

And if you're after this try to describe myself undecided: I'm a passionate dog woman. (sadly without dog!)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing - It makes you open for the beautiful sides of life and makes the thoughts become positive. It's about "paying" just not with money but with energy, feelings, thoughts, maybe some souvenirs or help.

My dream is to see the world and people from all over the world... I enjoy to get lost on a city and discover magical hidden places with locals... I want to travel and Not just to be a tourist...AND I really like the idea of sharing with other people, getting to know other cultures and having a great time with "strangers", who mostly feel like close friends to me after the first few hours:D

Travelling and especially CS is something I love because I learn more about myself while I'm learning about where I am.

Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.

Music, Movies, and Books

And while sitting down I read and watch Movies or TV series.

"Ein Buch muß die Axt sein für das gefrorene Meer in uns." Franz Kafka
My icebreaker: Zusammen ist man weniger allein - Anna Gavalda, Wild: A Journey from Lost to Found - Cheryl Strayed.

Documantations from Arte, TED talks and travel videos are my favorite films. But I have a big uncontralled weakness for fantasy, Sci-Fi, love and Disney films ... o.O

It will be very hard to find something which I am not interested in. So rest assured, our conversation will always flow smoothly.

music...
My music knowledge is limited, as I don't have any specific preferences. It depends on whether I like it or not. Sometimes, I find a song and it sticks to my head and then I listen to it over and over again. There's no specific genre, and if I like a song, it adds to my playlist and becomes a part of my routine. ...But I would like to know more about music, it's a blind spot in my interests.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- couchsurfing -

Teach, Learn, Share

I am not a teacher I am a storyteller. I love cooking during discussing about the World and everything around. I consider myself intelligent but I definately know that I don't know much!Couchsurfing means to sharing your culture, involving to the other cultures, travelling like a local. Every human being is a book and every person I meet is a new book that has something to learn!

I still try to find myself and my place in this world. On my way I already found lots of people who accompanied me for a while and who have enriched my life. I just can hope I gave it back. And if I could make someone smile and they could be happy because of me, that's a happiness factor for me.

I have three goals till the end of this year (2017). Learn and pass my lifeguard exam , speak English and be better at yoga&cooking. If you can educate me in any of them, I'd be grateful. :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Currently I just moved to cologne in a shared apartment with a single room with limited area of host, there is only possible for the people who can shared a room with me. I can share food, shower, some travel tips and if I have time I can walk with you and show around Cologne. I can also share a bike. Just ask :)

I generally respond to women who traveling alone and planning short stays. Right now, my favorite sort of couch are English-speaking traveler (will be great to refresh English for my big dream). And sorry: I tend not to host people moving to Cologne.

If you send me a request, please be so kind to try to relate to my profile - or, if you don't find anything to relate to, tell me what superpower you'd prefer to have: being invisible or being able to fly ;)

Please, tell me something real about you and what your time on this world should be like.

Maybe we'll have a match^^)
