About Me
I'm a PhD student studying health inequalities, food and how healthy eating habits are tied up with all of the other habits/circumstances of our lives. I'm a climate change activist and campaign for people to eat less meat. I like to dance. I come from cider country and enjoy that :) I trained as a plumber for a year... hoping to go back to that after I've finished studying (finally!) - it was pretty great to be learning a practical skill. I am trying to get some more beauty into my life, especially in the form of trees, mountains and seas.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm going interrailing and I've spent all my money on the ticket! Also, I very strongly believe in the ethos of sharing my house with other people - sharing favours rather than paying eachother for them feels like an important habit to get into :)
I've never used couchsurfing before this trip (houses I've been in have hosted people, but my housemates have had the accounts) so no references yet... I have facebook friends though, so I must be legit, right??
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I spoke at the end of a climate march to 3,000 people... I don't think many of them could hear me or were listening, but it still felt suicidal... think I need to re-educate myself to prove that public speaking isn't deadly!
Countries I’ve Visited
