I am an English teacher in Okayama. I have lived in Okayama, Niimi for two years now and I absolutely love the Japanese country side. I love traveling around Japan and I am always on the lookout for a new destination!!

Music, Movies, and Books

My absolute favorite artists are Maroon 5, Monsters of Men, Jack Johnson, and Corrine Bailey Rae.

I enjoy all kinds of movies, but my favorite genre would have to be coming of age flicks such as Dead Poets Society and The Way Way Back. I also love romantic comedies like Crazy Stupid Love and Just Friends. If we're talking horror, then I am definitely a fan of The Conjuring and any Japanese horror!

I haven't been so good about reading lately, but some of the books I like are Half the Sky and Three Cups of Tea. I find these real accounts of people's lives inspiring and I highly recommend them both!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

An amazing thing I have done is traveled to Taiwan to see Jiufen. It is such a beautiful area and really reminds me of the little town in Spirited away.
