I work as a substitutional teacher in Switzerland all summer long and enjoy travelling in winter to run away from the cold temperatures. I try to visit countries that are very different from what I already know. Sometimes I travel by bicycle to get to places on the countryside where no travellers are, villages that are new to tourists. I guess this way is the closest to really get into the cultures.
