Since I decided to leave home and start traveling, the opportunities to continue doing it have not stopped; The circumstances of each trip have been, each one, different. I feel unable to stay static somewhere in the world, although the security of having a place to reach is important to me. That same feeling I lose with each trip; I leave so much of myself in each place, with each person I share, in different spaces and times of the Earth, that I no longer know where I could call home. My life circle expands; I no longer only think of Colombia as my home, I have refuges everywhere irrigated which I regret one day returning. They are like intense loves that have transformed my body, my system, my significance on the world. In each of them I have found roots of my mestizaje, I feel no belonging to any part; over time I feel that pieces of me are staying everywhere I visit, and I find pieces of others too. When I left my mother's house I opted for an entire transformation of what I had learned to be, I wanted to get rid of my being; I have learned that my roots are not individual, they are not mine, they are bound to a migration that has always been and that my body, as a bit of a humanity that observes itself, undoes and does the steps with thousands of legs, finding traces everywhere that appear as remembering a past life. For me it is important to know the humanity of the other, all its cultural background, mutual recognition, not foolish encounters; From kindness, compassion, generosity, respect, the opening of the world of each as two threads that are woven into knots creating a colorful and infinite fabric.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couchsurfing because I like to travel a lot, specially to get approach to fullfeeling experiences to enrich my life, with good and gentle people who share with others what they are. Also to be on a net of low cost travels, where the perception of travelling is about generosity and diversity. For personal trips besides which can be medium to developt my work as an artist.
