About Me
Hello!
I am now a first year Classics student at Cambridge (so I learn things like Ancient Latin and Greek as well as Ancient Philosophy - my personal favourite - Literature, Art and History). Apart from that, I love politics, music, cooking and much more.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I could say that I like traveling - but that wouldn't strictly be true as it does admittedly cause some stress to pack your things, catch a flight and just go off somewhere. What I do like, however, is much more. Places, people, history, stories, good conversation, good food and, in general, good experiences.
Music, Movies, and Books
- Lolita by V. Nabokov
- The Green Mile
- Traviata (I know, mainstream, but 'Sempre libera' never ceases to amaze me)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've fallen in love!
Teach, Learn, Share
Though in terms of the 'usual' modern languages I couldn't offer much (I speak very bad French, moderate German and quite fluent English - but that just isn't that impressive these days, is it), I do speak native Lithuanian (one of the more difficult languages in the world, by the way) and am learning ancient Latin.
What I Can Share with Hosts
- I LOVE cooking and would be happy to cook you a meal or make one of my delicious lemon tarts!
- Classics is THE subject to study if you want to learn some amazing (and often crazy) stories - I would be happy to share those with you.
- Simply a nice conversation!
