About Me

Hello everybody!

My name is Andrés, I'm a shinny soul, in a pretty healthy body, with a Colombian passport and a great attitude. Studied business but found my biggest passion in culture, specially music (I'm not a musician, but give me an instrument and we'll have a good time). I am also a bit of an empiric philosopher, just like to let my mind wonder out of the borders of my knowledge.

I started travelling when I was very young with my family and now in my adult (or young adult) years I still love discovering new places. With a group of strangers, on my own, with my friends... Doesn't matter, I'm open to any adventure as it comes.

I have been working for almost 3 years as a Tour Leader for a quite recognised tour company, doing a tour around my home Colombia. Met great people on the way and made out of travelling my life style in a way.

I love dancing, speaking to people and getting to know them, walking in places that are unknown to me, looking at people behaviour around me, discovering cultures, looking at flowers, at trees, at birds, any kind of animals, a good concert. Love photography!

I hope I can make a good friendship with anybody that hots me, from now on very thankful with anybody allowing me in their home.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I just opened an account because I'm travelling to the West Coast of the United States for the Dessert Trip concert between 14th to 16th of October. After it I want to go and explore all I can of California, Nevada and Oregon.

I'm very interested in meeting real people from real places, any background and interests, all under a very respectful environment where we can learn from one another, being a Tour Leader I have become quite a good ambassador of the Colombian culture, and I love to meet new people.

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC. Rock n´ Roll, Salsa, Jazz, Colombian, Folk, Electronic. And many, many more branches to that tree.

MOVIES. Pulp Fiction, Natural Born Killers, Whiplash, well... The list is very long.

BOOKS. Brave New World, Siddartha, Poetry, Quijote, Colombian literature... A long list as well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I worked with a group of friends on the creation of a Non Profit Organisation that aimed to help improve the lifestyle of independent musicians and strengthen the health of the independent music industry. It's still being designed, but hopefully alive at some point in the next year or two.

Teach, Learn, Share

Business ideas, creativity, I'd love to be able to write things together with my hosts, prepare great food, tell some good stories.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a very creative person, there's always space to quick co-creation processes, specially if we focus on that for a while. I'm a very good guest, hopefully I can teach some of my culture, share some music and information of that, still slightly undiscovered Colombia, good food, good moments, lots of laughs.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Austria, Costa Rica, Ecuador, England, France, Germany, Guatemala, Honduras, Italy, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Spain, Switzerland, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
