About Me

Holaa! How are you?
I am a catalan immigrant in Budapest studying medicine, from Girona.
I've written way too much below so I'll keep it short here.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I had it in mind but I had never stopped for a moment and entered the community untill I came across a couchsurfer that reccomended me getting the app due to the many nice couchsurfing events being held nearby.
So here I am ;D

Right now I feel a kind of nomad in this planet even with my strong bonds with home. So getting adaptéd to who I encounter myself with has become kind of normal. Sharing it with other couchsurfers can be a nice way of making it even more fullfilling.

Couchsurfing is great to travel sharing as it could be in a better planet

Interests

Hiking and running around alobe or with somebody to the hills and mountains near my hometown.
Basketball and swimming.
Reading. Learning.

Geography, urbanism and Social conflicts and Politics mixed with social sciences and philosophy and humanities. I feel this urge to understand what surrounds me (feeling I still know nothing).
Thankfully to people around me they have help me be more concerned about inequality, masclism, racism and colonialism, economic globalization and ecology and I'd find it really nice to talk about it in a bar with people from abroad or meet projects link to it when I travel.

In my Free time I try to learn tot as much as I can from feminism, socialism and critical thinking as well as understanding my own culture and discovering others. I find it really important to speak and learn the language of where you find yourself in, too.

Theatre arts and circus. Would love to have more time to practice them, but unfortunately here in hungary I can't.

All what concerns education in every environment, condition and age. I enjoy a lot helping and playing with kids and follow side-by-side the growth of young adults.

Right now I am discovering medicine and health and the treatment and healing of humans beings. Hope to become a doctor specialized in emergency in some years from now working with doctors without borders if possible.

Would prefer to see a planet with a different set of values that the ones that drive us today.

I draw and write for myself as a kind of therapy and try to play melodies of songs with my 2 small diatonic harmonicas.

Thanks for taking your time in reading this by the way! You deserve a nice drink after that!

;D

Music, Movies, and Books

Right now:
Angela Davis's Biography (book) and Le Monde diplomatique.

Boyhood was amazing. Citizen four Doc. Good Will Hunting!!! Just seen Cry Freedom.
I enjoy a lot documentaries, from politics social rights issue to a much Planet EARTH style (it fascinates me)

FUNK: "James brown" and Maceo Parker
There's a Catalan duo of groups that mixes politically combative HIP HOP with some jazz bases played live called "at-versaris & asstrio" which amazes me. And another one called ZOO that is following this great combo of very strong meaningful lyrics with great beats that make you dance and sing non-stop.
"Jimmi hendrix" and "Leonard Cohen" normally when I want to stop for a moment.
With my closest friends we grew up listening "Red hot chilli peppers" with Frusciante at the guitar.
SKA : "skatalities" as a classic and "Obrint pas" from Castelló, near Valencia.

"LA TROBA KUNG-FU" or "Gertrudis" are nice groups for Rumba catalana. Give it a look. It makes you dance everywhere, evertytime.

At summer there at the free concerts in towns nearby, on their official party days. You should come if you can!

A nice piano and a warm saxo jazz always super welcomed!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Having done nothing exceptional, this came to my mind:

Being able to meet, taje care and feed a very very premature newborn baby of 23 weeks. A very small little creature. He was superhero honestly. Feeding him was in the morning and looking at eachother was... Preety big.

Being in the 1st October in Catalunya was preety big too.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am not teaching right now. Would like to in a future.

I enjoy cooking for my friends and myself. Hopefully I can cook a bit and enjoy a meal together to thank you :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

From February I can host people in a couch. I am preety busy with my degree so it will depend on the period of the semester though.

I can offer a nice place and maybe some shared time too to have some fun if I am not too busy.

Have a nice, enriching and safe travel guys!
