About Me
Hi I'm Ollie!!
I've recently returned to my hometown, Melbourne after a quick two year trip in Europe, and now I would love a chance to show people around this city that I love so much!
So me, I love travelling, not too good at planning, great at talking crap, not so good at sitting still, unless I'm talking crap over a few drinks or I'm doing some craft- I love craft.
I'm a city kid, I love exploring laneways, galleries, markets, live music scenes, urban exploring and all the quirks cities have to offer.
But you'll catch me at my happiest in places far away from the city chaos; like staying in some tiny mountain village surrounded by cows half way through a hike in the Albanian alps, not to be specific or anything
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Whilst travelling is a privilege- it shouldn't be exclusively for those who have money. Not everyone is dealt the same hand cards in life, but that doesn't mean that because someone was born into a certain situation they shouldn't be allowed to appreciate and experience the world.
Couchsurfing allows for cheaper travel, I will stand by that.
However it is More than just free accommodation. I'm on couchsurfing mostly for the cultural exchange. You are able to see new places through the eyes of a local, experience new ways of living and meet incredible people from all over the world.
**I only accept friend requests from people I actually know.

Teach, Learn, Share
I mentioned earlier I love craft, especially jewellery making. Usually I work with clay or resin, but I've recently endeavoured into macrame and a little bit of metalwork. I would love to share any skills I know (especially resin- it's fun and messy and you feel like a mad scientist) and I would love to learn new techniques and skills!!
I love food- eating, cooking, you name it. Australia doesn't really have traditional food, but I would love to share any recipes I know, and any traditional recipes you have to share- let me learn them!! I'm always down for a cooking class from a new culture!
I love storytelling and sharing my travel experiences. It's rough living at home again because no one wants to hear about all the great places you've been to... so indulge me with your travel stories, and inspire me to get back on the road.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook for you, teach you how to complete a Rubik's cube, help with cleaning and share my stories
