About Me

I come from Tenerife, Canary Islands. I'm 20 years old and have just enrolled in my 5th semester of degree. Translation is my passion but I also study interpretation. I had to leave my comfort zone because it is the only way to really learn a language. That's why actually I'm living in Heidelberg, Germany.
I have two main hobbies: travelling and photography. I'm an amateur photographer but I really enjoy taking photos. If you want me to host you just write the name of my two dogs (keep reading my profile)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We are all connected by a love for travel.

Tourism has become in an unadventurous experience. It is like to be at home but in another place and for me it is ridiculous. The magic of travelling is to know other cultures, to see the world as others do and to open our minds. We cannot do that by laying in a sunbed in a hotel.

As Life magazine slogan says: TO SEE THE WORLD, THINGS DANGEROUS TO COME TO, TO SEE BEHIND WALLS, TO DRAW CLOSER, TO FIND EACH OTHER AND TO FEEL.
THAT IS THE PURPOSE OF LIFE.

Music, Movies, and Books

As you could have read in my last answer my favourite film is The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. But I also like all kinds of Thrillers as Interstellar, Origen and so on.

I love all kind of music but I identify a lot with reggae songs, particularly Bob Marley, Peter Tosh and lots of Spanish artists.

The perfect kind of book for me would be "Bad Karma" by David Safier.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I called a well-known veterinarian of Australia to try to save my dog, Willy, when my local vet told me he was going to die bc of lymphoma cancer. Actually, he died but the vet in Australia told me exactly what my local one had said. So I learnt to trust more in locals.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love teaching Spanish as a foreign language and I'm really proud of my country (but no, no with corruption!!!) so I love teaching about my culture too.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Spanish culture and food. I love cooking Spanish tortilla de papas or Canarian typical food.

And lots of photos of my other dog Pippo who gives me the life!

Countries I’ve Visited

Andorra, Belgium, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland

Countries I’ve Lived In

Germany, Spain
