About Me

Hi, my name is Julia, I'm 22 years and I'm studying psicology here in Brazil. I always loved to travel and I'm about to do my first backpacker trip in a few weeks, I'm very excited!
I love reading, museums, adrenaline sports, knowing knew people, beer, nature, art, good food, good talks. I'm also a big fan of music (nowdays I practice two different types of dance, lindy hop and rockabilly, wich is jazz from the 30's and rock and roll from the 60's). I sing, play piano and ukulele, in fact I intend take my ukulele with me to play all around the world.
I'm a very easy going and open minded person, enjoy all types of programms and i'm looking foward to have different experiences

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I use couchsurfing because I want to experience this kind of traveling that is new to me. I think that couchsurfing allows me to learn about the world in a more complete way. I also think is really cool to stay with a couchsurfer because, I think it's like having a local friend, so I can get more in touch with the local culture.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like rock, jazz, blues, pop, some eletronic, brasilian music (inclusive brasilian funk). Things like music, books and movies are made to be discussed in real life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 18 I wanted to skydiving, but my parents wouldn't ever let me do it. So I secretly saved money for a year without telling anyone and, in the day of my 19 birthday, I woke up very early, when my family was still sleepping, and went skydiving. I only told my parents about it while I was already on the way, so they wouldn't stop me. After the jump, I travaled back home and all my friends were there for my birthday party. I was a pretty great day.

Teach, Learn, Share

I intend to learn a lot about different cultures, the way of thinking, the routine, the habits, the personality of each place and each group of people.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share all of brasilian culture, teach a little of ukulele or piano, I love talks about cinema, art, music, philosophy, books, nature, etc and I'm looking foward to have this kind of precious exchange that counchsurfing allows me to.
