I am Emmely, an 22 years old girl from a little town in Germany, studying communication science and intercultural business in Jena. Right now I am at my Erasmus Semester in Madrid.
Ilove exploring the nature and am interested in experiences new cultures and learn about people's pursuit of happiness. I'm a very open-minded person, always thirsty for knowledge. Meeting new people can give you so much more than any material achievements. I like to try out new things, that I've never done before and love it to be challenged. Through couchsurfing, I want to make many new experiences and hope to see new ways of living and working. I hope that I will meet many new people who will help me to grow. Perhaps, in return, I can give the same, because other cultures are always interesting.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I always loved it to find new friends and it would be very nice when you be one of them. Making new contacts is what i am expecting from couchsurfing. Also i am a very flexible traveler and love it to plan my trips spontaneously, and couchsurfing is the perfect tool to travel like this. Nothing is sadder than visiting a foreign city without meeting new people, whose making the city not foreign anymore.
As i am travelling low budget, i am always looking forward to some new adventures. I also love it to visit a place without knowing what will happen or were you will stay the next few days. Staying in Hotels is nothing spectacular for me, due to the fact that you see more with couchsurfing and get to know the locals with all of their values and traditions. It makes more fun and is more exciting.

In this sense: Come as a stranger and go as a friend.

• photography and image editing ( i really do love to catch the perfect moments in the camera, and nothing is more relaxing than work on the pictures afterwards)
• dancing ( love every kind of dancing, tried hip hop, traditional german Gardetanz, Cheerleading, traditional dancing like waltz, disco fox, boogie and co.)
• family and friends
• exploring nature (nothing is more beautiful)
• climbing/bouldering
• sports (any)
• reading (i really like fantasy, history and stories where you can think about afterwards, but also some philosophical oder psychological books)
• swimming, snorkeling and diving
• sailing (did it for the last 3 years every summer in greece, and there is simply no more freedom than sailing to all the places you want to)
• arts (it faszinate me)
• psychology (same like arts)
• talking (what is better than talking about everything?)
• backpacking (before my travelling trip to asia, i always had a suitcase with 23 kg for two weeks, now i am proud to say that i am traveling with 7 kg for several months :D )
• writing (maybe study journalism later, love it to write about everything)
• get challenged with things i've never done before (physically and mentally)
• clothes and styling (love it to try out new things)
• also no problems with having some party :P (....)

Since indonesia i also really have fun while driving a scooter, especially on this crazy streets.

Try to go regually to some yoga classes in the different parts of southeast asia.

Meeting new people and make new experiences at a lot of different places.

I do not have a favourite movie or music. It depends on my mood, which movies i like, but nothing is better to sit on the couch with friends and look one of this movies, you've seen like a hundret times and still it's not boring. I like movies you can think about afterwards.

My favourite series is breaking bad and grey's anatomy.

Music has to fit to the situation and mood, than i like it :p

Climbing the Kawah Ijen Volcano at night in Indonesia and seeing the blue fire, the traditional sulfur removal and the sulfur lake at sunrise.

A lot of crazy stuff we can talk about when we actually meet!

If you wanted to, i could teach you guys some german. I am very keen to learn your language, too! We could have a lot of fun when sharing our travel stories. Also I am friendly and helpful. I'm really interested in the social conventions of your country and in return i can tell you a lot about german culture. Furthermore i really like cooking together, and sharing the different cuisin. Also i am very keen to learn an instrument and love it to try some new sports.
I love to get out of my comfort zone and get to know new ways of living.
