About Me
Hey everyone around the world! :)
My name is Friedi, currently I'm 24 years old and traveling from Germany through Eastern Europe to Turkey and Iran, my next station will be Georgia and Armenia. On my traveling adventures I'm always excited to meet new people and maybe you're one of 'em??!!
I'd say I am a very honest person and outspoken at times. Nonetheless harmony is very important to me and I'm always very careful to be empathetic towards the people around me and to make sure that everyone feels as good as they can. So with me it can be long and intense discussions but if I feel that there's no mood for it, I also enjoy chillin' and hanging out with people a lot. In any case you can always tell me honestly how you feel and I'll appreciate it :)
I'm a very social person and honestly, I think I feel best when I'm surrounded by a lot of people. Generally I'm very curios and excited to meet new people. Getting to know someone new, hearing their story and experiences, comprehending their mind and what shaped them into their present form of existence is one of the most interesting and fulfilling things for me! So I'm always very happy if someone wants to share that with me, but of course I respect every personal boundary at any time.
One thing I have to say beforehand: I'm definitely not a morning person and I need a bit of time in the morning to wake up... especially since I've tried to quit drinking coffee in the morning... so don't worry if I'm a bit wasted after waking up!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing cause it's the best way to meet new people who are open-minded and curious. And if you want to really explore a place or a new country it's always best if you have someone from there who can introduce you to all the new stuff and give you tips! :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the best things I've ever done was standing on the rim of an active volcano in Indonesia. I had no idea until I had reached the rim and could look into the massive crater. I still get goose bumps if I think back at how incredibly huge the whole thing was and how small and helpless you suddenly feel. But the best part of it all was the noise: a constant rumbling, hissing and rattling. The best way to summarize it came from the friend I was traveling with: "Like an allmighty jet engine".
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share with you my experiences, funny stories I've heard, my way of seeing things, my empathy, (in my view) awesome music I like to listen to, dinner (if you let me cook)...
