Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

I like Couchsurfing because I can stay with locals in the countries I am traveling in. When having dinner together, doing things together and taking time for each other there is always this "process" of getting familiar with the other person. Whereever I have been so far, whether in Europe, Africa or Asia - I have always loved to see how people can be different when it comes to customs or traditions. When it comes to their mindset and their idea about how to live their lives. These are the differencies that make intercultural exchange so interesting. They appear from the peoples circumstances in life and how to deal with them. At the same time everybody I got to know so far has the same goals: A pursuit of harmony, peace, happiness and so on...
When I do Couchsurfing it is a pleasure to me to celebrate our differencies and to focus on the same ideals.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Last year I travelled across Europe with my backpack. From Berlin I hitchhiked to Amsterdam, Bruxelles, Paris and to Bretagne. The journey was an fantastic experience because up and downs were so close together. For example when I stood several hours next to the street to get a ride out of Paris I was so desperate not even having a place to sleep at night. But in the next moment I got a ride and was even invited to peoples homes. Those are the moment when you start believing in human kind again.
