Hello!

I hope you're doing well right now! As you can see in my profile, my name is Juan Pablo, I'm 18 years old and I came all the way from Mexico to study Applied Foreign Languages in University of Rennes 2.

I am a very welcoming person, I love meeting new people and getting to know other people's cultures as well as mine. I come from a place where everyone is so kind, friendly and spicy! I love MEXICO!

I come from a Jesuit education, the most liberal catholic congregation in Mexico: It's all about loving everyone and accpeting yourself as you are!

I like to take a lot of pictures while I am travelling (most of my trips have been in Mexico! I'd love to share my mexican experiences) but sometimes I am really lazy for that.

It is my first time ever in France, I am really excited to get to meet a lot of places (mostly people)!

Francisco is joining me in this journey. He shares the same values as I do! He's studying Aeronautical Engineering in Bordeaux. We met back in Guadalajara a while ago, we found out back then that I was friends with his brother! He's a really nice person too, he likes to travel a lot and he's been to a bunch of places! He'll be really happy to share his best moments as well. I shared some of his pictures in my profile!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couch surfing because sometimes friendly and familiar environments are more comfortable than an auberge de jeunesse or a simple hotel. In Mexico, family is the most important thing, so I am used to live with family. It is easier to share what you do in the day! Maybe playing some boardgames, I love them!

Music, Movies, and Books

My music taste is really variated. I love it can go from mexican mariachi to POP music, I love R&B, Adele is one of my favourites actually. For french music, ZAZ will take my heart, but when it comes to dance, Stromae takes my body to the dance floor.
My movie taste is really variated too, it can go to horror films or really weird independent films to romantic comedies!

As for books, I love the ones that are not good to guess, the ones that you have to work your mind to understand each charachter and situation

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I learnt french in 2 months so I can go to Québec for a cultural exchange programme in 2014.
