About Me

I'm 29 year old guy who is at the end of his studies for civil engineer. These days I work as cameraman and video editor for local internet portal, I'm drawing construction projects and also I give private lessons for students for some subjects on my faculty. I'm the oldest child of three in my family and I must say that I am a family guy and for me family is always on the first place.
Beside board games my other main hobbies are reading books, writing poems, cooking and video games, especially point and click adventures. I also have interest in gardening, technology, painting, writing stories and all kind of sports (I was handball player for five years and I must say that I don't like to watch sports but I like to play them).
I love all kind of artistic expression: paintings, graffiti, tattoos, photographs, books, comics, movies, sculptures, buildings, dance and specially music. I like and enjoy to see what can person do with his/her imagination and knowledge.

Music, Movies, and Books

Best movie: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966) (great synergy of story, acting and music). Honorable mention: Bicycle Thieves (1948), Umberto D (1952), A Fistful of Dollars (1964), For a Few Dollars More (1965), Once Upon a Time in the West (1968), Scarface(1983), Amelie (2001), The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford (2007), Mad Max: Fury Road (2015) and Pirates of the Caribbean (first three movies). I am a romantic at heart but I dislike romantic movies and romantic comedy movies.
What I like more than movies is animation movies. Like in games I love hand drawn movies (early Disney movies, studio Ghibli movies, French animation movies and of course great Don Bluth movies) but I also like some of the computer animated movies like Wall-E (2008), Tangled (2010), Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole (2010), Rango (2011) and Wreck-It Ralph (2012).
Best Series: Battlestar Galactica (2004). Honorable mention: Only Fools and Horses (1981), Sherlock Holmes (1984), Agatha Christie: Poirot (1989), The Shield (2002), Dexter (2006), House of Cards (2013) and some great domestic series.
I like also animated series. I I finished watching Naruto Shippuden and hope for the second season of Attack on Titan. Occasionally I watch Simpsons, Spongebob and Penguins of Madagascar. Aside of these I really don't like american modern cartoon series (some of them have a good sense of humor, but the characters are drawn morbid or bad computer animated for my taste) because of that the old animation series and short cartoons are the best: Superman series from 1940s which have in my opinion the best drawn physics of body motion up to date, TMNT (1987), Disney, Hanna-Barbera and Looney Toons cartoons.
I prefer classic and instrumental music but I love all kinds of music except heavy metal and similar genres. I think that music enriches human life, and that is an integral part of it.
Best books: "The Name of the Rose" by Umberto Eco; "The Fifth Mountain" by Paulo Coelho, "The Lord of the Rings" by J.R.R. Tolkien; "The Bridge on the Drina" and "The Damned Yard" by Ivo Andric and William Shakespeare's plays.
I like to read old classics and mystery, detective, thriller, fantasy and philosophical theme books. I also like to read all sort of graphic novels and comics. Currently I read "Blindness" by Jose Saramago.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am most proud of board game group in my city that I organized with the help of youth organizations where I volunteer. We come together every Friday. The group is open to all: fans of board games and those who are interested to see what are modern board games and is made of all kinds of people who play many different games and all of the games come from my collection or from small library in youth organisation.
I also participate in multicultural projects within my organisation and I always bring games with me and successfully introduced them to others (you can consider me as some sort of missionary of boardgaming 😉).
As I like to say: In your mind, always be in accordance with your age but in your heart always be a child.
