About Me
Hello there!
I'm Eli from Barcelona, 23 years old, and environmental biotechnologist. I'm a really curious person and just love discovering new experiences. Traveling is my passion, discovering new cultures, other languages, traditions, and ways of living basically. I'm a calm person but an extrovert. I love reading, doing yoga in the morning before starting my day, climbing and escaping from the city as much as I can to do excursions and be in contact with nature.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like meeting the locals at the places I'm visiting. I think it's the real way to travel, and the only way to really get to know the place you are visiting and its culture.

Music, Movies, and Books
Pretty much everything! From classic music from the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s, to modern music. Bossa Nova, Latin rhythms, Cumbia (love Cumbia!), Spanish Music (Juanito Makandé, Melendi, Maná, Jarabe de Palo, Fito y Fitipaldis...), Rumba Catalana (love Txarango), jazz music, peaceful guitar music, Brazilian Funk music, Old School Rap (especially female badass rap like Salt-N-Pepa, Eve, Missy Elliot...) and the list goes on and on
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I believe that the most incredible and enriching experience that anyone can do is to travel. Travel as much as you can and as far you can go! I believe it's the best way that someone could spend their time and money. It's the only way you become open-minded, conscious of how other people live and the only way you become aware of the realities of other people in this same world.
So, for me, the most incredible thing that I have done is to travel. Visiting Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Perú, Bolivia, EEUU, India, Thailand and pretty much all European countries is the best thing I have ever done!
Teach, Learn, Share
I've always have had a craving for learning different ways of living life. I love when two total strangers meet and have real deep conversation without even knowing each other. For me, Couchsurfing is the definition of this concept. Two total strangers sharing their cultures, cooking typical food from their countries so the other person can try it, showing music and cool bands from your homeland to the other person... And all form the kindness and curiosity of one's heart.
