Overview
About Me
Hello, I'm Venere and I study biomedical engineering in Turin.
I moved from my home town Taranto in Puglia in 2012 with the dream of seeing the most far and different places, and becoming a good engineer of course :)
I've always loved meeting foreign people and speaking different languages.
But my desire to travel is not satisfied yet! I want to see India, Africa, South America, China and many more countries!!!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
For financial and social reasons! I will beat my shyness one day, by visiting more countries and meeting more people ;)
I also had a great first experience in Belgium with my friends and understood how great is the community of couch surfing and that this is by far the best way to travel
You may think that one experience with CS is not a lot, and I agree with you! That's why I want to go on and have many more!
When I was in high school I got in touch with AFS and wanted to spend a year in a foreign country and live like a foreign student. Unfortunately my parents didn't agree to that, but we settled down for hosting a foreign student in our home for two months, I felt like having a sister and I loved sharing my everyday life and my knowledge with her! We went to school together, she experienced the real Italian life (she is Malaysian you can see a picture of us in my profile) and we traveled together to Rome as a family trip!
Interests
I love traveling of course but also home nights with netflix and pizza :)
I like to treat myself with sushi every now and then
I'm interested in the stories! Each of us has a story, each story is interesting in its own way and I would like to hear it from you :)
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: mostly pop, but I enjoy every kind
Books: lots of them
Movies: I prefer tv series, I think that movies end too soon!! Unless we're talking about movies with sequels like back to the future!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The greatest experience i had so far was helping the refugees who were arriving by boat and assisting them in the structures day after day for one month. This opened my mind to the different struggles so many people have to face everyday and made me consider how lucky I am to be born in Italy
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: I don't know :P
Learn: anything from languages to new recipes
Share: karaoke nights! And meals as well
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can offer good food and stories :) I would be an independent traveler but I enjoy company especially during the meals!
Countries I’ve Visited
Belgium, Czech Republic, England, France, Netherlands, Spain
Countries I’ve Lived In
Italy
