About Me

I am a fun and easy going person. I enjoy nature just as much as I enjoy going out with friends and having fun. I enjoy good chats and banter, learning from others and their lives, and my overall goal in life is to learn as much as possible - about anything and everything - and enjoy sharing my experiences too.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have never been overseas before, and I want to experience the true, local nature of the places I travel to - and thought the best way to do that was to stay with a local.

Books: Bill Bryons' books, including a Short History of Everything; Oliver Sacks books: The Man Who Mistook His Wife For a Hat; as well as On The Move, his autobiography. And Dr Seuss books ofcourse!

Movies: Burlesque, Across the Universe, the Imitation Game, Anna Karina, the X-men series, Quinton Tarintino movies, and my guilty pleasure - the Harry Potter series

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

After finishing highschool in a small town, I earned enough money to move to Cape Town where I now study, and waitress on the side, to support myself. I am quite independent and am ready for my next adventure!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am very interested in the sciences and physics and biology - and am excited to learn about more art and culture and religion. I am currently teaching myself to play guitar, to surf. I enjoy reading medical books and enjoy sharing my knowledge, and am currently reading an Oliver Sacks book - a neurologist who writes about his patients and their neurological conditions - its all very interesting!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Freud said there were to aspects that made one happy: love and work. I dispute that - there is one thing that can provide long term happiness - and that is having great friends!

I cherish my friends, and they have the ability to make me the happiest person I can be! And thus I am always willing and keen to make new friends.
