I am a French young woman whom grew up surrounded by the peaceful vineyards of Burgundy.
I graduated with a degree in Film & Arts and also have a Tourism & Management’s degree.
One year ago, my studies just over, I decided to travel to Norway. It has been few years I was interested and curious about Scandinavia and its culture. So I decided to make the leap!
I spent 5 months there, exploring the whole country, doing volunteering.
And undoubtedly, that was one of the most powerful and beautiful experiences I have lived.
Exploring a country, meeting people, crossings landscapes, meeting people, exploring culture, crossings fjords, meeting people, discovering oneself.
The state, the mind, the dynamic that creates within you…
Now, I think I know what the genuine travel is.
I met it. I lived it.
And I have loved it.

But more generally, what to say?

I like to be totally absorbed by a book when, behind the pane, it’s cold and windy.
I like to drink a glass of white wine with my friends around me.
I like solitary excursions with my camera over the shoulder, wandering during hours and hours, without any precise goal except the one to observe, to be surprised, to reflect, to admire, to think of nothing.
I like the wrinkles on old people's face
I like to discover something, somewhere, someone I didn’t knew until then.
I like outside activities.
I like meet new people and discover the whole word each one brings within himself.
I like to walk in the summer countryside.
I like the effervescence of the cities the days before Christmas.

I am curious,
I am social,
I am boring,
I am eager,
I am brave
I am fearful,
I am cheerful,
I am natural,
I am melancholic …

Actually, in a word,
I am like everyone.
I am.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have always thought a Singapour hotel looked the same that a Sao Paulo hotel - itself looking the same than a London's one etc.
To genuinely feel a city, a country, you have to experience it; that is to say: to meet its inhabitants, to loose yourself in its narrow streets not listed in the touristic books, to taste the local dishes etc.
For me Couchsurfing enables that - and more : you met people living there, you discover the local lifestyle (culture, usual practices, gastronomy, activities etc.) and can share your own one, you get good advices about what to do in the area (better and surer that the touristic office!). And, icing on the cake: all that for free!
