Overview
About Me
I am a retired high school Spanish/Social Studies teacher who loves traveling, good people, good music (mainly pre-1990), history, ideas, language, pleasant and authentic locations and simple living. Those who know me would say that I'm more adventurous than most while at the same time conservative in many ways and down to earth.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've done a lot of couch surfing in my time, but mostly years ago and not with people I haven't met yet. Spending lots of money isn't my style. I've just recently learned about staying in hostels on a Latin American trip and find it's not only inexpensive but allows you to stay in authentic places and make friends with interesting people. I've learned about Couchsurfing now and it seems to be a similar way to do the same.
