Hi all, Asya and Ben here, nice to meet you!
The most important thing about us right now: we are on our Sabbatical since January 2020. We planned to travel in South America for a month or two and then to spend the rest of the year exploring our options in Europe. The reality though isn't exactly as we imagined but those special circumstances allowed us to be more spontaneous, adjust to changes much much better than we usually did and to experience things we never though we will. For example, we spent all May volunteering in small Texas farm. It was so amazing to get to see the place through the eyes of the locals and it allowed us to understand America much more than we did during our 3 long previous visits here. So now, couchsurfing for us is even more desirable because we wish to see every new place from the local's eyes. It also gave us a chance to practice being someone's respectful guest and to feel comfortable on the one hand and to understand the host's side on the other.
Additional info about us: as you can guess, we love to travel, this is our hobby so please don't talk to us about buying a new car, we prefer to visit Hawaii again when we get a nice bonus :) Both of us maintaining careers in Israeli HI-TECH companies, no children and no pets right now.
We like to get to know new people, to hear their stories and share ours, but only if asked :)
