Overview
About Me
I'm a friendly, passionate guy who loves to travel the world and meet new people.
I teach English in Shanghai, China.
I'm a creative soul who likes to learn new arts and experience new cultures.
I've recently moved out of a shared apartment, into a 2 bedroom place, so I can actively host again. I've missed being an active member of the CouchSurfing community. But.....
"I'M BACK"
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I see myself as a traveller, and not as a tourist. A tourist takes pictures and says"That's nice", but never knows the soul of the culture that created it. I like to learn about the people of the world, get to know their goals, ambitions, dreams, and driving force. You can't do that living in a hotel.
Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a big Sci-fi fan, with a healthy appetite for horror movies too.
My music taste is pretty eclectic. I like Lana Del Ray, Meghan Trainer, aerosmith, and many more.
Anne Rice has to be one of my favourite writers. Wilbur Smith comes in a close second☺
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the highlight of my life was in 2013 when I visited the Great Wall. What made it truly memorable was that I shared the experience with my 60 year old mother.
It was a beautiful Tuesday late afternoon, the sun was sinking, and it was just us 2 on the wall.
That is something I will never forget.
Teach, Learn, Share
Am an avid learner, and live to learn new things about every culture and society that I meet.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm an avid cook, and love to share some of the tradisional dishes if my home country, as well as some of the Chinese dishes that I have learned to make.
If you have an oven, i would love to bake you a milktart. This is the iconic dessert of my country. A true taste of home.
