About Me
Hi there! :) My name is Monika, I'm a student of Comenius University in Slovakia. I hope one day I'll be an interpreter and translator so that's why I want to start travelling, meeting new people and getting to know other cultures. The biggest advantage for me, besides the adventures during travelling, is that I can practice languages I currently learn and maybe learn some new ones. To say something about myself...I hate spiders, but love animals, especially dogs and also nature. My drugs are sweets, pizza, crisps and most of all chocolate. I think I'm pretty much talkative, friendly, kind and cheerful.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
First of all, it is a great opportunity to meet people around the world. I literally love speaking to people from different countries even though it sometimes makes me nervous at the beginning. My whole life dream is to go on a trip around the world and also on a roadtrip and I think this is the best site to make something like that come true.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like almost all genres of music. But my favourites are rock, folk- rock, reggae and ska. (Pearl jam, The Fray, Mumford and sons, Florence and the machine, Kings of Leon, Johnny Cash, Foo Fighters, Macklemore, Irie mafia, Anthony B, Nneka,... )
In terms of movies I have to say I'm a little bit addicted to them and also series :D
(The walking dead, Game of thrones, Misfits, Breaking bad, Black Mirror, American horror story, True detective, Under the dome, The Shawshank redemption, The boy in striped pyjamas, Into the wild, and so on and so on.)
As I mentioned into my interests also belongs reading. I don't have so much time right now but I try to read as much as possible. Most of all I like fantasy. (One day, To kill a mockingbird, Hunger game trilogy, The way we fall, Fight club, Divergent, ...)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'm not sure if I can say if it is generally amazing, but me and my friend took the tent, the car, some clothes and went camping for few days around Slovakia. We went where we wanted to in any given situation and it was all a little bit spontaneous. It was amazing at least for me.
Teach, Learn, Share
I used to teach younger kids English so I have many experiences how to help somebody if it is needed. I can also teach you some basic Italian but I'm still not good enough myself.
