Overview
About Me
For now I am an active student, studying intercultural studies Latvia- France- Canada. Trying to travel and experience as much as I can, while getting my Bachelor's degree.
I am passionate about history of art, drama- currently joining an amazing drama club at my hometown in Latvia, active lifestyle- love to hike, be in nature(since I am a Latvian and Latvia is probably one of the greenest places on the earth).
For a year- after graduating from high-school I took a huge challenge for myself and lived in China, Shanghai for almost a year- one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had in my entire life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I guess that travelling for me has never been just about seeing touristic places and staying in all-inclusive hotels- never done it and guess that it will stay that way.
Since I was very young my parents always tought me to make new friends and contacts all around the world in order to always see and experience new places as close to the local's viewpoint as possible- and I have been trying to do that as much as possible.
So that is also why am I here- to meet people, to get the feeling and energy of every new place I visit, rather through people than a tourist guide.

Music, Movies, and Books
I am a huge Indie music fan- it just helps me to start a new day, week etc.- just like my own personal ritual.
Since I study culture- I have to read A LOT of literature from different time cycles- so I enjoy every book that I read of my own personal choice- currently it's the 1984 by Orwell.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
-Stood in a cloud in Tianmen mountain (more like the top of it) in China,
-Seen the art of making a silk thread (from the cocoon) by an older Chinese lady,
-Stood in the middle of rye meadow just before a storm,
-Seen the sunrise in the middle of the Yellow Mountains in China,
-Swam in the sea while it's pouring and the wind is soo strong that I can barely stand on my feet
Teach, Learn, Share
Since I know that Latvia - taking in count how big the world is, is a tiny, tiny country- as well as rarely known, I can share ton of interesting things about my culture- the traditions, the weird beliefs- carried on from our ancestors, the unbelievable history of my country etc.
My whole life I have been raised with a different approach- let's say, mostly based on an alternative education that cares about the outcame of a child as a personality rather than a number or part of a statistics aisle, to see every person in your life as something needed- either to learn something from them and let them go or to learn how to truly care for one and never let them go- so I try to live my life (as hard as it sometimes gets) with the same approach to situations, people and problems.
