Hi, I’m Ece, 31, from Turkey. Born in Istanbul, I’ve been living outside the city since 2020, working on ecological and artistic projects. For the past couple of years, I’ve been volunteer coordinator at Tadah Artist Habitat in Antalya, hosting circus and movement arts workshops and meeting travelers from all over the world.

I traveled as a backpacker around Europe in 2016–2017 via Couchsurfing and Workaway, and I’ve volunteered in various ecological projects. I haven’t backpacked in a while, so I’m excited to travel again this year — in Argentina from mid-Dec to mid-Feb!

Movement, dance, and painting are big parts of my life. I explore juggling, gypsy dance, and contemporary dance, and I turn movement-inspired illustrations into prints on t-shirts and bags. I’m easygoing, flexible, and hardworking, love cooking, and enjoy sharing experiences around dance, music, and circus. Excited to meet new people and experience local life!

Dlaczego jestem na Couchsurfing

I love meeting locals, learning about daily life in the cities, and exploring little places beyond the city centers. Couchsurfing is a great way to connect with people who share my interests in different countries. I’ll be in Argentina from mid-December to mid-February. Until mid-January, I’ll be volunteering in Patagonia, and from mid-January to mid-February, I’m excited to spend time in cities like Buenos Aires and Rosario, meeting people involved in dance, circus, and art. That’s why I’m here!

At the moment, I don’t have a place to host anyone. But if you’re interested in volunteering at Tadah, where I work, I’d be happy to help you! 💛

I really enjoy classic salsa music and Balkan melodies. I love gypsy films. In recent years, I’ve been reading more about individuals, society, sociology, psychology, relationships, and communities.

I am so happy to share any skills about dancing, juggling, painting, drawing. I love cooking together or cooking for people. And one of the reasons I am travelling to South America is to learn speaking Spanish. I’m still a beginner. So I would be really happy for any supports for my learning process :)
