I left France on november 20th, for another backpacking adventure. It's the beginning of a 6 month travel in India. I feel so lucky and excited.

But this time, i have deep ambitions: Understand why I keep being attracted to Indian cuisine.
I love it so much (not lying, it's the best in the world)... and it's always too spicy for me, especially when the waiter assures me that it's not spicy at all... The more he looks convinced, the more I worry.
It's like hurting myself on purpose. And now I came to India to experience more of that.
I must be totally crazy...

On a serious note. Just eat french cheese and baguette please. It's so convenient on a backpack. And it smells great :)

So, yes, about me. I'm still that flawed human being, not always understanding the world and others. Nor myself, of course.
I spend too much time alone. But I love to be with others. That's crazyness as well.
I've never been mean or disrespectful with another human being on purpose though, and I will never be.

Why would you like to spend time with that guy ? I'm very positive. I smile a lot, I'm present when with someone. I have a good sense of humor. In french. For a french ? I do my best ;)

I'm curious.
I like to laugh and take life on the bright and light side.
Deep conversations, too. Debates, even.
I have Jérémie biased theories about a lot of things, and I like to watch myself with amusement as I get puzzled or even angry when people don't agree with me.

It's so crazy to pretend knowing a truth...

About the travel plan (Stop making plans all the time Jérémie !...), that would be to explore Tamil Nadu and Kerala over the next weeks.
I'd like to meet locals and discover that fascinating country of yours.
And yes ! I can say that India is crazy as well. I wouldn't be the first one to do so.

Through my spiritual awakening (as a raised and born French, I didn't think I would write that one day), I feel more connected to India than to any country.
Except when I'm served another delicious but definitly too spicy meal.

I got a first taste by staying 1 month in an ashram to learn about yoga. I don't pretend knowing anything about yoga nor Indian traditions, spirituality and philosophy.
But I took the first step.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing has been my lifeline over those years on the road, I will be forever grateful to the community.
And yes, when I drive, I will be always searching for hitchikers on the road that I can help.

I tried to give back and host those last 2 years as I was in France - wasn't very convenient where I lived. I could have done it more though, I didn't feel that I was really helping. I worked a lot to save for this trip.

I would understand if you thought that I should host more before earning the right to send requests again. I feel that way too :)

I'd like to help with what I can, even if it's just some company and good vibes.

Not so much of a music or movie fan anymore, I would rather enjoy a good book.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I travelled around the world, hitchiking mostly, crossing 40 countries with my tent and my 2 feet, in 2017, 2018 and 2019. Sounds a lot of fun, it was... The best years of my past life (because the best year is always the one we have in front of us).

I learnt more about myself when I came back and searched within the help and the answers I was seeking outside.

I came up with more questions, of course ;)
