About Me
Born in Cracow, lived there for 18 years, decided to take the first step towards learning the world (staying for another 3-5y at one of the universities in Kraków would be to much), LET'S CHANGE SOMETHING!, enrolled for a Physics, Astrophysics and Cosmology course at Lancaster Uni.
Now, as a student, living with a team of 10 friends I met during the first year of uni, leading the LUSWAC student society I have founded with my Cyprus mate (check it out! http://lusu.co.uk/groups/street-workout-and-calisthenics ) and coming back to Poland for holidays, meeting up with my High-School friends and catching up with my family with the bonds stronger than I would ever expect I JUST WANT TO START MOVING EVEN MORE.
my quotes ;)
“All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts, we make the world.”
"Life goes on...
Whether you choose to move on and take a chance into the unknown.
Or stay behind, locked in the past, thinking of what could've been. "
I am traveling with my Latvian girlfriend who I met at university...
My name is Diana and I'm a third year film and media student, and like most filmmakers I seek for my inspiration in traveling! I would love to see the world and feel the atmosphere of every place I'm going to (be that a scent of a freshly baked croissant, or a soft wind of Flemish shores) not through the thick glass of a hotel window, but from the people who bear the spirit of their homeland!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
There are two things I love most, science and traveling. For me though, neither of them can exist without the another one. Traveling, meeting people, learning languages and exploring different cultures gives invaluable life experience, provides you with a different perspective on everyday life. Moreover, traveling really helps in shaping your views on the future, on who you want to become, which is the most important thing when choosing your career and eventually "the dream job".
Why Couchsurfing? Well, there are few reasons. First of all, I have heard some positive opinions about this way of traveling form my friends, secondly I think that in order to really get to know the new place, you have to spend time with people who live there, eat what they eat and do what they do - this is what I have learned in England. Apart from that, I like meeting new people and sharing opinions. Obvious, last reason is that I am a student after all, and even small saving of money counts for me, since I am not able to work full time :)
I like feeling free by doing hitchhiking or sleeping under the stars.
