About Me

Hello!
My name is Kyungsim, I'm 22 and I live in Korea.
But you can call me whatever you want, like Sim, Ha, or something else. Just call me with affection!

I live in a little village where surrounded by mountains. I ran a community restaurant with my friends on there. It's closed now, but we still try to create and learn some new things. We want to live more naturally and alternatively.

I graduated from an alternative school in Korea. I learned about the ways and values of ecological and communal life. now, I want to live as I learned and be a free person who is not bound by gender, nationality, religion or language. It's not easy for me. But I'm trying to looking at myself every time and be honest with myself.

I love traveling. So I can't imagine my life without traveling. I like to meet people and share our language, culture, value life, experience. And know different stories and different ways in life.
I'd like to live traveling. travel from place to place rather than living in one place.
I'm a bit shy at first time but I like sharing culture and new experience with people.

I'm traveling Europe for a year since January.
After graduated I do not go university directly. I do not know yet what I want to do exactly but I do not want to decide it hastily.
I have desire to learn and to grow in daily life. But recently, I felt couldn't. So I had a hard time.
So I decided to leave. To be exact, I decided to leave unconsciously. Because, travel is the best way to meet myself directly. As I travel, I can see not only what I want to look away from myself but also what I want to change. In fact, last year I grew and learned many things a lot from traveling.
I really hope I can learn and grow myself through this travel.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think there are 2 ways to grow myself by traveling.
First, to spend time alone and think a lot.
Second, to meet new people.
Meet new people, share and learn new language, culture, value life, experience and different stories and different ways in life. these give me a lot of inspiration and widen my vision.

Also it is really cool to make friends around the world. this is a short meeting, but I believe we can connect with each other as long as we are under the same sky.

And last, actually every cost for my travel are my own money without only ticket by flight to back to Korea. Since in last February I have been working hard and saving most of money. I hope to continue my travel at least on January next year.
