About Me

You can call me Javi, Im studying Philosophy and Political Science in Madrid. I live in Illescas, a small village inside the province of Toledo, but i like to spent most of my time in Madrid, also because I study there. Normally I hang out in my village, but sometimes i go with my friends to Toledo or Madrid.
Thanks to some Erasmus+ exchanges I have meet people from a lot countries and learned some key words, so if you speak a different lenguage for sure we can have funny conversations about it and share some words. I also like deep conversations and, for hanging out, I prefer going to pubs than to disco.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Travel its much better when you can meet local people and go to cool places rather that do the typcall turist stuff.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like any kinds of books, from balkans or middle east history, world politics or philosophy to poetry or just narrative. My favourite authors are probably Cervantes, Miguel Hernandez, Cioran, Kant, Camus, Tolkien, Baudelaire, Chekhov, Ion Luca Caragiale, Panait Istrati or Hemingway.

My favourite movie directors are Carpenter, Tarantino, Vigalondo, Wes Anderson, Cronenberg, Godard, Nuri Bilge Ceylan, Pasolini, Hitchcock and Tarkovski. I really love to watch 80's-90's movies like Die Hard, Blade Runner, The Ghost in the Shell or anything like Big truoble in little China.

I like a big variety of music, some post hardcore groups, rock, irish flok music, hip hop, jazz, cuban music, indie music, and so on.
