Hi, I'm Petr and I'm a young Czech student who has decided to go study abroad. Now, I'm studying in England at the University of Cambridge which is an awesome place full of people from all parts of the world studying all the different subjects. I personally study natural sciences, with a focus on Earth Sciences and Physics. My next steps are still open but for example, I applied for a job in the European Space Agency.

I've done a lot of different things in my life. Back in my home country, I was a traditional folklore dancer for some time and also an active scout (I still am). In England, I started rowing, playing water polo, volleyball and climbing. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I know there is a lot of welcoming and friendly people out there, but it's often not so easy to find them. On couchsurfing, however, it is! I've met a lot of couchsurfers who stayed with my friends and so far not a single person I'd not want to meet.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Planned a great budget trip over the High Tatras with my friends, including carrying all the water (14 kg per person) 1800m up in just the first three hours only to get completely soaked the first night (our tent was rubbish) and have all the amazing views covered by a thick 1m visibility fog. After that, we decided to ditch the rest of the trip, choose to stay in a cottage in a nearby valley, but fail to make it during the daylight and walk only a couple of meters from a growling bear who decided to have fun right next to the only path we had.

The most memorable experiences don't have to be good, just intense.

We spent the rest of our time and money in a huge swimming pool nearby.
