Hello, my name is Kevin Adair Soto Cortez
I am currently 19 years old in a community college pursuing Engineering, hoping to transfer later on. My passions and things I love? I love languages, cultures and travel. If you want to know something about a certain culture I am the dude to ask. When ever I graduate or whenever I get the chance, I want to move out of the United States and live somewhere in Europe, I am very interested in the Germanic countries of Germany, The Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Sweden etc. I also love animals, hiking, the outdoors, hence why I am studying Environmental Engineering as is is something I very much believe in.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Find opportunities to live abroad, perhaps get a connection to work move? But most of all? I want to learn languages and be involved with the local big time. The biggest reason though is that I want to experience new cultures and people. See how life is day to day. I love peoples and cultures and just want to share and experience life with people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I am an oddball, I listen to everything: Deep house, Rock, Trip-Hop, Post-Rock, Alternative, Acoustic, Classical, Rap, Metal, Singer/Writer, Folk music) etc. the list goes on... (The twist? I listen to music in different languages I.E. In French, Dutch, Icelandic etc...)

Books: Read a lot of articles on stuff, Science, Linguistics, Life philosophies etc.

Movies: Historical Movies, war movies, I watch foreign films, something that is not common here in the States

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This Summer while I was in Greece I had limited knowledge of French and was able to communicate really finely with a man from the Congo and two Parisian women. I am sure I have done something more awesome, but I cannot recall at the moment.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach Spanish and English to people who are interested. I want to share experiences with people, get to know about them and their culture, even learn their language. I want to be able to share and enjoy the simple things in life with people.
