Hello everybody, my name is Mareth, I'm in my 20's and I'm from El Salvador Central America, currently I live and study in Taipei, Taiwan. I'm couchsurfing because I think it's a really good way to know local people who are totally able to guide you, give you a piece of advice, help you with the language barrier, hangout and making new friendships as well.

Interests

As a future worker in the Journalism field, I'm interested to meet new people, get to know each other and I'm open to learn something new from them and what is going on around me. Also, I enjoy a lot watching movies, TV series, writing in my free time and hang out with my friends. I think I'm a very easy going and talkative girl who is easy to make her smile.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like to listen to mainstream, rock, pop, latin music and dance as well. For movies I don't mind the type though, but I prefer to watch them online the same for TV series and enjoy the commodity of my room. I'm not someone who is reading books everyday, but if you recommend me one I can totally guarantee you I'll do time to read it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

An amazing thing I've done is to apply for a scholarship to be able to study my career in Taiwan and move out from my house for the first time to the other side of the world, not knowing anybody and not speaking the language and I moved in a very early age(19 years old to be specific haha). I think it takes a lot of courage to leave your comfort zone.

I would like to share my Latin culture and make people get to know more about it, help people who is interested to learn or practice Spanish. Also, I would like to share my experiences, mistakes and funny stories while living abroad since 2014 and transmit my good vibes to all of you.

To be honest I don't live in a house or apartment because I live in the university dorm, but I can totally be your guide around Taipei, share with you my experiences while living here, recommend you places to visit and maybe to stay, give you tips or whatever you are struggling at.
