Hi there!!
My name is Ovgu. I'm 23 years old and Im from Istanbul, Turkey. I enjoy playing drum, sports and listening rap and reggae music. Last summer for the first time in my life i went abroad. I went to Canada to study English for 4 months and thanks to this amazing experience i had chance to meet with numerous people from all around the world. By interacting with this different cultures my desire to see the world only got raised. As a result of this desire and Canada experience then i traveled to Cuba, i visited 4 cities in there and stayed with locals.

When I go to different countries I rather to see actual culture and history with locals than only seeing touristic spots. I prefer to walk on streets of Cuba instead of having meal in a restaurant in New York. Maybe also because i am extremly into Latin American culture :)

My interest for Latin American culture has started by reading books of Gabriel Garcia Marquez and Eduardo Galeano few years ago. Latin people I met in Canada they just made this interest increase more and more every day. And they made me make my mind for my future travels.
I want to see and experience all the cultures and countries in South America, I want to walk in every street of countries in there as much as I can.

I like to spend time in the local places, not just the tourist places where I go. I think that I will learn about the actual experience of the countries, living with the citizens of that country.

If you really want to get to know a country, it is best to stay with the citizens of that country, not the hotels!
