I'm a 30 year old budding traveler who has primarily been to Europe. I write for Psychology Today about mental illness. I freelance and write for a ton of other magazines.

I'm getting an MFA in creative writing at The New School. Before that I got a Master's degree in behavioral neuroscience and worked in neuroscience and art and tech firms.

I'm into good literature, good company, and intellectual events like the ballet, contemporary dance, opera, and book talks. I am both introverted and extroverted depending on who gives or takes my energy. I like easygoing outings to the gardens or literary readings, having personal conversations, intellectual debates, and deepening my knowledge but just as equally nights out, concerts, and exploring town. My personality is surprisingly blunt and strong and I like to goof off 😆

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I enjoy looking at a new country or city through local perspectives. I don't travel just to feel safe and comfortable all the time. I want to know the history and conflicts of a region I go to, but most importantly, why your region makes you feel alive.

Interests

I like anything that involves self actualizing and how to be a better person. So, I like learning about people, places, and cultures different from my own.

I am a super reader and usually read a book a week. On my most recent trip I finished two books I bought that trip.

I'm a professional writer. So any literary discussions are great. I also enjoy philosophy of cognitive science.
