I can be shy most of the time, but at the same time I can be warm, kind, generous and above all friendly. I´ve always thought that friendship is the most important relation you can have, because a friend is family you choose. I love to communicate through art: playing guitar, filming, drawing, writing and even design. I can say cinema is my passion, I work in it, write about it and make illustrations in a blog (https://quenoeselcine.wordpress.com/) and watching a movie or an episode of a series is one of the things I love to do the most. I´ve been a vegetarian for almost 14 years now, I don´t judge people who eat meat, I just don´t like eating it myself for taste and ethical reasons, but I eat eggs and milk derivatives. I love playing games, from classic board games, or the games you play in a long car trip, to videogames. I try to be tidy and meticulous with my space, especially in the design and beauty aspect, I think because of the work I do is usually related to interior design and art. I´m not a big crazy-night-party lover, loud dancing music, crowds, and that kind of things are not really my thing. But I love live music and going to rock shows and festivals, no matter how crowded or loud they are. If I had to summarize all this in a few words, I think those would be: Creative, kind, quirky and friendly.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to make new friends, hear new stories, see new places, and all those beautiful things that come with travelling. I believe this platform is one of the most authentic ways to meet people, and experience a city from the eyes of the people that makes it come alive everyday. From the inside of it´s heart, that is the actual population, a hotel can't give that kind of experience.

Music, Movies, and Books

60´s and 70´s rock is my thing, but also blues, jazz, indie rock, funk, and everything in between. My favourite movie is Back to the future, and I love the work of Wes Anderson, Quentin Tarantino, Stanley Kubrick, Alfred Hitchcock, John Carpenter Hayao Miyazaki and I´m especially interested in animated films. I enjoy reading very much, among my favourite authors are Julio Cortazar, Roald Dahl, Edgar Allan Poe. I´m a comic book nerd, Batman stories are my favourite, especially Frank Miller´s, but I´m also very interested in independent comics and graphic novels.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was the lead guitarist of a band for ten years (https://melomanas.bandcamp.com/) and now I´m moving on to other challenges. I´m a filmmaker and art director for films, I´ve worked in 3 feature movies so far, and several shorts, and I´ve directed my own things (https://vimeo.com/luciadestefano). And I´m also a fashion designer, and have made everything from a wedding gown to metal rock band stage costumes.

I love to hear stories, since I´m a filmmaker and everything and everyone is a potential grate story to put on film. I love to play guitar, and always want to share that with anyone that wants to hear, or even learn a few chords. My favourite meal is dessert, and I consider myself a very good dessert chef, my specialty are crepes with dulce de leche, I really enjoy cooking that for my friends.
