About Me

Upd september 2022 Ulaanbaatar

Hey, I'm currently in Ulan-Ude, and I provide accommodation for travellers here.
I'm living with my parents and younger sister in a private house 15-20 minutes away from the city centre by bus.
I can host you either in the main house or in the small house on the backyard
feel free to ask me any questions about my hometown Ulan-Ude and Baikal lake.

PS..if Idon't reply (that happens rarely) you can always text me via messengers +79021610811

Hello.
My name is Sergey. I'm from small town Ulan-Ude in Siberia next to the great lake Baikal.
BUT, Stop thinking stereotypes about this place. Here we don't have balalaika and bear as a pet :D
We don't wear warm clothes all the time it's as cold in winter as it is hot in summer! And our mother nature is one of the most beautiful in the world.

My region is well-known by Baikal lake. it's the deepest one in the world. Landscapes in winter and in summer are breathtaking. You should definitely visit this wonderful place at least once in your life.

If you already did it, there are no excuses for not making it once again!

Started self traveling in 2017 with journey to 3 capitals of Russia : Moscow, St Petersburg and Kazan. Since that time I really felt in love with travelling and started spending all my savings and free time on it.

Was a part of FIFA World Cup 2018. Made a small trip trrough Cyprus, Israel and Istanbul in January of 2019.

After that I decided to change smth in my life cuz my education didn't bring me any pleasure and I made the biggest trip in my life. Left my university, quit the job and went to Viet Nam to have the best time in my life. I've done so many things for the first time: hitchhiking. couchsurfing, basking and cliff jumping. I was exploring the world, people's kindness and open-mindedness. i made 2,5 months trip in South East Asia visiting 5 countries from Thailand to Mongolia and spent only $300. My plan was simple - I just had no plan. I was just enjoying this life😍

I really appreciate this experience and I think I've completely changed my point of view on this life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

( I'm here to crush your stereotypes about Siberia, Russians and Russia at all. I want to make new friends all around the world. To see the Non-turistic side of the local life. I think that the man determines the place and even a usual trip with good person can grow in something extraordinary. ) and all other typical bullshit I wrote here when I was filling it for the first time.

Now I now that I really want to be a part of CS community. I want to thank the Universe for helping me in difficult situation during my trip in SEA. I don't like the word KARMA but it is exactly that I mean.
I want to share with people my experience, want to know interesting stories from their life.

Interests

I really like watching and discussing football. And playing as well, but I'm not that good ;D
My favourite team is Zenit from Saint Petersburg. But I have some favourite European teams as well.

If you are interested in watching big matches, contact me and we can enjoy the great game together.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am not really fan of the music, so I mostly listen to POP, but respect all other genres

As for the books it is Russian classic, some travel books where people overcome difficults like 7 years in Tibet, Papillon etc.

And I am fan of Harry Potter, Marvel , Star Wars and LoR.
