Hola! Hi! Bonjour! Hej!

Mi nombre es Agustín. Soy profesor de Letras por la UBA, enseño Español e Inglés, y soy músico. También me caben la historia, las películas y los viajes!

Me considero una persona curiosa y abierta de mente. Me interesa la filosofía, sobre todo Montaigne y Rousseau. También me apasiona el existencialismo, aunque me atrae la ética kantiana... Se podría decir que a veces me pongo la remera de Kierkegaard y otras tengo menos idea que Descartes antes de llegar al cogito.

También me apasiona el arte. No diría que sé mucho, pero mi abuela me enseñó a pintar y dibujar, y esos han sido dos de mis pequeños placeres desde chico. Admiro el trabajo de los impresionistas franceses (Morisot, Monet, Renoir, Degas, Toulouse Lautrec, Sislay, Signac...), pero me gustan un montón más de artistas como Mucha, Shiele, Klimt, Munch, Klein, Picasso, Quinquela Martin, Gris, Dali, Magritte, Fader...

Creo que mi mejor característica es que siempre me quedo con lo que puedo aprender de alguien o de alguna experiencia.

My name is Agustin. I am a Literature teacher (UBA), I teach Spanish and English, and I am a musician. History, movies and travel are also up my street!

I consider myself a curious and open-minded person. I am interested in philosophy, especially Montaigne and Rousseau's. I am also passionate about existentialism, although I am attracted to Kantian ethics ... You could say that sometimes I wear my Kierkegaard T-shirt and sometimes I know less than Descartes before reaching the cogito. It be like dat sometimes.

I am also passionate about art. I wouldn't say I know a lot about it, but my grandmother taught me to paint and draw and those have been two of my little pleasures since I was a kid. I admire the work of the French Impressionists (Morisot, Monet, Renoir, Degas, Toulouse Lautrec, Sislay, Signac ...), but I like a whole bunch of other artists, like Mucha, Shiele, Klimt, Munch, Klein, Picasso, Quinquela Martin , Gray, Dali, Magritte, Fader...

I think my best feature is that I always focus on what I can learn from anyone or from any experience.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Justo antes de la pandemia volví de vivir en Francia y viajar por Europa, donde conocí gente increíble gracias a CS. Ahora que estoy en casa me gustaría mostrarle mi ciudad a la gente que tenga ganas de pasear un rato, y quizás hospedarlos :) También creo que CS es una forma mucho más amable de viajar, conseguir recomendaciones de lugares, o conocer gente.

Just before the pandemic I came back from living in France and traveling through Europe, where I met amazing people thanks to CS. Now that I am home I would like to show my city to those who want to go for a walk or something, and maybe host them :) I also think that CS is a much kinder way to travel, get recommendations of places, or meet people.

I can teach you Spanish, English, French or even a bit of Swedish! I can also take you for a walk around the city and share with you my culture, music, a nice warm "mate", a couch, good food and lots of laughs!
