About Me
Hi, I'm Cecilia :)
Officially a master's student in Denmark and unofficially a tireless traveler, I'm a clumsy but smiling lover of storytelling. Whether it's a chat at the bar, a moving film, overwhelming music, or a magnetic artifact, it doesn't matter because in two seconds I'm all ears and I lost myself in the story. This is also one of the reasons why I love to travel since it's when you practically find yourself catapulted into a carnival of stories, art, and unexpected personages or events.
Unfortunately, every time I tried to go beyond the European borders some kind of pandemic broke out but, as the saying goes, hope is the last to die! On the other hand, however, I have grounded several thousand miles across the Old Continent, mainly by my beloved Megabus, and this has taught me to respect more consciously who I have in front of me as well as a tasty and growing list of recipes.
This allows me to conclude by saying that, as I'm Italian, far be it from me to disprove the cliché about food since, in this case, it is well-founded and encouraged: after all, a good dish is always a good start!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I signed up because, during my bachelor's in Turin, I started traveling with my cousin and thus with her Couchsurfing, and it was always exceeding expectations!
In Copenaghen we ended up in an artsy flat where we draw with virtual reality for hours, sang, and talked about boat workshops or new trends in architectures, in Turin we hosted photographers, wood craftsmen, strong female travelers, and rock lovers, and, finally, soon after creating this account, during a solo adventure in Spain, I had an insightful political debate with a gentle girl that also gave me some tips for future solo journeys.
In brief, it's a whole other thing than booking a hotel room!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The trip Berlin - Krakow - Warsaw - Paris
In short: I arrived exactly 24hours after my friends because I didn't double-check the date when booking the flight, delicious ramen and lemon cake conquered us in a chill café in the East part of the town, we had an unexpectedly inspiring night-talk with the coolest bartender in Berlin (at a certain point, the owners arrived and, after acknowledging that they were compatriots with my friend, we kind of got treated like "Irish-beer-lovers family"), we had a stupid amount of Polish hot chocolate and, finally, I accidentally forgot my backpack in the Megabus to Warsaw but, incredible but true, after 6 months of its independent travels around Northern Europe, I got it back in a little bus station in Wroclaw.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd like to learn a new language or how to paint properly.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I really like to listen to people so we can talk about everything or we can sing and play together ( I can play a bit the guitar and the piano)! :)
