About Me

Born in Nicaragua in 1988, I grew up with summer trips to Apoyo lagoon, to what's now Montibelli Nature Reserve, camping at the shores of Coco River, hiking in Mombacho Volcano, swimming at Playa Hermosa, and even skipping school for a family trip to an erupting Cerro Negro.

Studying architecture only increased my love to travel, going to students meetings in Panama, El Salvador and Italy and getting to know people from all over Latin America and Europe. And working as a nature tourist guide on weekends was a amazing way to practice my English.

Curiosity-driven I learnt Pranic Healing, which soon became my passion and profession, nowadays I teach this energy healing therapy in Nicaragua and travel to different parts of the world to attend spiritual retreats and workshops.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I remember the first time I traveled by myself, I was 17 and spent 3 weeks in Italy, that was in the summer of 2005. In that journey, more than getting to know Venezia, Firenze or Milano, I got to know myself, and that was priceless. Also I got to know all this amazing people, and was their kindness what made everything possible for me.

I'm in Couchsurfing out of gratitude, kindness and for the love to travel.

Music, Movies, and Books

When feeling happy and playful some of the best Disney tracks would be playing, along with some tracks from musicals, When feeling relaxed or hitting the road is full alternative pop, you can't go wrong with Coldplay or Zoé's MTV Unplugged, When feeling thoughtful Mozart would be there, When feeling determined some masterpieces from the 80's, even some Glee covers, When feeling blue Sufjan Stevens and others indie and alternative music, And some Gaga is always ok.

As for movies there are great films out there, but the ones I love are those which you can watch over and over again specially comedies such as Clueless (1995), Legally Blond (2001) or The Devil Wears Prada (2006), and also some animated movies.
