I have been in Cambodia for 8 years, achieving our mission: “Create Jobs for Adults and Give qualified Education for Children”
In Phnom Penh, I have an impact-sourcing company focusing on a messaging center for Vacation Rentals in Japan and the United States. Also, I run a school teaching Art, General English, Japanese, Khmer, Preschool, and After School Care.

The income of this business of some parts go to my Terakoya(free school) and SDGs activities (to NGO or Educational Development) as per our policy: “To create Job opportunities for Adults, To provide qualified Education for all Children in Cambodia”

This is why most weekends, I am usually found Province (please see my pics about our activities)

Why do we need to create jobs for adults and Give qualified Education to Children?

I first came to Cambodia in April 2016, and I was surprised that there were a lot of luxury cars and skyscrapers in Phnom Penh. I had thought that Cambodia is a developing country, but it already was developed comparable to my home town in Japan.

However, this is not the case.

When I went to the province, there were people in the hospital who are suffering from injuries or diseases that were not properly treated with care.

Can you imagine why it happened?

There are 3 reasons
1. There are not enough doctors
2. There are no educated doctors
3. People don’t have the money

It was an astonishing truth for me- imagine doctors and nurses who don’t know how and when to apply first aid.
I used to be a hyper-rescuer team member of firefighters in Japan for 6 years, so I know what first aid is.

Immediately I started volunteering to teach first aid to nurses and doctors.

But how can we solve poverty? And why is this happening?

The reason is, their lifestyles have not adjusted to Modernization. Most of them are living self-sufficiently and if they get some extra items, they sell them and get some cash.

I don’t deny the traditional lifestyle, however, the product of modernization is mechanization such as motorbikes and Cultivator mobile, and the risk of injury has been increasing year by year. And people go around so might get new diseases from the outside.

Then let’s go back to No.3

People don’t have money →that’s why people cannot be treated well at the hospital

Can we say please die?

I thought if I can hire them if I can introduce my business friends and create jobs, If I can create a business here,

I can save the people.

And if we hire them, then the village would need to be educated ..

This is the reason why I established my own company, and why we are doing these activities.
