About Me

I´m a pretty easy going person, quite generous and sociable - like to travel and meet people whenever the opportunity presents itself :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My boyfriend and I are currently travelling South America and will be doing so for the next 4 months, we have been staying in hostels for the last three weeks, and would like to stay with some locals to learn a little more about each local area. We are also wanting so save a little bit of cash, as Brasil and Argentina so far have been quite pricey.

I have lived with 14 other people in a community type setting in London for the last 3 years, and am very used to sharing space with others. I would like to be able to offer the same opportunity upon my return to the UK.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have quite an eclectic taste in music; blues, techno, world music etc. Recently have been enjoying going to to small venues with live music, so any recommendations locally would be great :) Some artists that I like include Radiohead, Bonobo, BOC, Afriquoi, Pink Floyd, Fatoumata Diawara etc..

I am not massively well-read, though I am making it my mission to change this. Recent books that I have enjoyed are 1984, A Clockwork Orange, Catcher in the Rye and The Life of Pi - this last novel was particularly good, I would recommend it to anyone. I am trying to read more Spanish-speaking literature too, though my Spanish reading isn´t the best, so any recommendations for easy but must-read novels I would appreciate.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been learning aerial acrobatic skills for the last year at the National Centre for Circus Arts in London and I love it!! I´m a complete and utter novice, but I am now obsessed with learning more aerial skills as well as getting involved in other circus skills. It fits in quite nicely with my love for the music festival scene, and I hope to one day get to a point where I could maybe perform.. Again, any chance that any of you just so happen to have any silks, rope ple etc. at yours, I would LOVE to practice!!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can speak fluent English and Spanish, happy to converse with anyone who would like to learn either.
I only know some basic gardening, but have been pretty successful so far so would be happy to lend a hand.

I would love to learn to play the guitar, I have absolutely no skills in this what so ever so am a complete beginner. I am also learning Portuguese and a little German, so would be happy to indulge in some learning.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to cook all sorts of food and always welcome the opportunity to cook up a mini feast, not sure how easy it is to get the spices here, but I love Ethiopian food!

I like to garden am interested in sustainable living and organic farming, can lend a hand with this, and generally help with any other similar thing :)
