About Me
IMPORTANT!!
Couchsurfing isn’t like Tinder! These are some different platforms, whose goals are different!!

___________________________
Hey. My name is Nadya, I'm from Kostroma in Russia - I'm 23 years old and I study physics and computer science in Yaroslavl. I love travelling and meeting new people - for me it's a way of opening new horizons and the art of connection with people and enjoying great experiences together.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I feel like the mistake of a lot of travellers is that they don't get to know locals and so they don't get a really profound insight into the country's culture (food, music, society) and history from the perspective of someone who's actually a part of it. That's why I'm on Couchsurfing - I love the openness of people here and I want to be open too so we can all learn something and move forward on life's path.
Would love to meet and get to know new people!

Music, Movies, and Books
🌿 Favourite books. My favourite author is Remarque (especially "Three Comrades" and "Love Thy Neighbour" and "Arch of Triumph"), Hemingway's "The Old Man and the Sea", Russian poets like Yesenin, Tyutchev and Maiakovskii and Brodskii - my favourite genre is dystopia (I really like "1984", "Brave New World", and "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?"), all of Irvin David Yalom.
⠀
🌿 Favourite films. Some of my favourite films are: "Memoirs of a Geisha", "The Illusionist", "The Prestige", "Jane Eyre" and also lots of old Russian cartoons as well as some series ("Game of Thrones", "Shameless", "Black Mirror"). I like documentaries about food, history or the environment.
⠀
🌿 Favourite music. In terms of music I'm pretty open to everything and listen to range from blues to classical to rap. I love finding new music.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I did a 4000 metre skydive even though I'm very scared of heights. 🚁
⠀
I came to see the hippie nudist beach of the Dead Sea for a couple of hours, but I stayed there for 3 days. 🌿
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach Russian and German (I used to be a private German tutor) as well as how to bake very nice cakes. We could do yoga together if you're up for it.
